Reno is a fairly remote city, but boasts very good transport and travel services, so that visitors to Reno will still be fresh and ready for the casinos when they arrive. There is a first-class international airport within Reno's city limits, offering a number of easy transport options, which regularly travel to and from downtown Reno.
Good Greyhound bus and Amtrak train services arrive in Reno from important cities in the country, and Reno also features the major I-80, which runs right through the city.

Located a few miles to the southeast of downtown, Reno Tahoe International Airport is a very convenient facility in Nevada. You can fly to Reno Tahoe Airport from the likes of Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Highway 395 and local buses travel to downtown Reno, while a casino shuttle service offers transport to the major casinos every 30 minutes.

Reno Tahoe International Airport has transport agencies for all the major car hire firms and the city's streets are also very easy to navigate by car. Interstate 80 runs all the way from San Francisco on the west coast to New York City on the eastern seaboard, via Reno. Those traveling to Reno from Los Angeles should take I-5 to Sacramento and I-80 east to Reno. Snow chains may be required in adverse winter weather conditions.

If you are on a budget or would prefer to save your pennies for the craps tables, traveling by Greyhound bus is the cheapest transport option for getting to Reno. Buses travel to Reno from San Francisco, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Those coming from the west go via Sacramento. Within Reno, RTC's (Regional Transportation Commission) Citifare bus system covers most of the city with daytime running hours.
