There are certainly more than a few good golf courses situated within comfortable reach of Reno, Sparks and the Sun Valley area. A couple of notable clusters lie on the southern side of the city, either side of the Reno Tahoe International Airport, with the courses of both Hidden Valley and Rosewood Lakes sited to the east, and Lakeridge and Washoe to the west.
Directly west of downtown Reno, the Canyon Nine Course, the Northgate Golf Club and the Somersett Country Club all stand side by side, being best reached via Interstate I-80. Sited to the northwest, the Sierra Sage Golf Course comes highly recommended and is ideal for the less experienced of player. Sierra Sage is easy to reach, being connected by the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Highway (US-395) and is just to the south of Mayors Park, North Valleys and the Reno-Stead Airport.
